Does a wallet store the digital assets themselves?

A wallet stores and uses key material that controls accounts, while asset balances and transaction state are recorded on the relevant blockchain.

What is the difference between a seed phrase and a private key?

A seed phrase can usually recover a set of wallet accounts, while a private key directly controls signing for a specific account. Neither should be shared.

Why must I verify the network before sending?

Assets with the same name can exist on different networks. Using the wrong network may make the transfer unusable for the recipient or difficult to recover.

What is gas?

Gas measures computational and block-resource usage on networks such as EVM chains. Final fees depend on network conditions, transaction complexity and fee settings.

What is a transaction hash for?

It is a unique reference that can be used with a block explorer to check status, confirmations and transaction details.

Does connecting to a DApp let it move my assets?

Not by itself. Connection normally shares selected account information; approvals, signatures and transactions are separate requests.

Are message signatures the same as transaction signatures?

No. A message signature may be used for authentication or authorization logic, while a transaction signature can authorize a transaction for broadcast.

What is token approval?
